My Role: Lead UX Designer
Team: 1 UX Designer, 1 Visual Designer, 1 Content Writer, 1 Developer, 1 Account Manager, 1 Project Manager
Duration: 16 Weeks
Create a responsive disease education website that clearly communicates accurate information about the disease state while enabling access to vital resources for a rare disease. Our primary challenge was convincing our client that their user base would scroll below the fold as long as a consistent navigation was in place as well as the content we developed would connect to additional relevant content.
Due to binding NDA agreement, the content of this project has been heavily redacted.
After reviewing the organization of the website, the responsive breakpoints, and the visual design mockups the client approved our development team to build the website. This was the first responsive website we built for the client. Metric wise we were able to maintain similar traffic levels, user retention, and maintain the number of time users spent on the website. Our notable accomplishment was to be able to grow both the mobile and tablet traffic that was a smaller percentage of total traffic before the redesign. In addition, the client was so thrilled with our work that we continued to build additional responsive websites, tablet apps, and a mobile app for the client for an additional 2 years. With each digital product, we developed further insights into the client user base, eventually developing a design system to increase workflow efficiency and improve client communication.
